#FeesMustFall
#FeesMustFall
The fees must fall campaign is affecting everyone in the whole continent based on the scenes that happened in the protests and what Khanya Cekeshe is facing now.Specially with me as a student it is painful to think that Khanya Cekeshe, feesmustfall, is in jail serving his 5 year sentence and others who can't attend classes. Now all that is happening and our former President Jacob Zuma announced the free education not long ago,Featured.I strongly believe it would be fair to withdraw charges for the students who participated on the protests .Their lives are now on hold looking back at what they fought for it shows that the former President has heard the voices.
#FeesMustFall
This campaign has affected all of us as students who really care about the education of others that is being put on hold because of the incidents that happened in the #FeesMustFall protests. Which resulted in activists like Khanya Cekeshe and Mcebo Dlamini who were summoned in and out of the High Court.
They should be regarded as heroes to be honest even though they have done some mistakes in the past which was wrong as now it has putted them in trouble with the law.
I believe Mcebo will be found not guilty ,we are hoping for the best for him, same applies to Khanya Cekeshe pleads. He was there to support the protest which actually ended badly but as an advantage of this whole saga has good results. There is one of the #FeesMustFall protests song that was sang by Yamkela Gola ft Wits students ,its takes me back to the scenes that were happening during the apartheid.Based on how other things were done and how things are being handled now based on the results of these activists trials and sentences. Looking at the videos of #FeesMustFall its really painful watching what happened is really sad it can make you relate to what happened to our country years back. watch .
This issue must be resolved with immediate effect. It's been a long walk to social freedom.
ReplyDeleteIt has been resolved as now every deserving students are given the opportunity to study for free at the higher institutions,as the plan of the free education money is gonna come from increasing the VAT% by 1%.
DeleteI absolutely agree with you because education should not be limited to those with the funds to afford and as most people say the cure to cancer might be in the brain of an individual who cannot go to school and enhance their knowledge.
ReplyDeleteYes Odwa so the best thing to do is to help those students who cannot afford higher institutions,as every deserving student is entitled to free education which was drawn by the #FeesMustFall campaign.
DeleteThe issue of fees increasing at higher institutions has become a burden to so many families that cannot afford to take their children to universities. The government must turn NSFAS into a bursary that can help all students enroll in universities to get qualifications that will allow them to get employment and help the economy to develop.
ReplyDeleteFamilies are struggling to take their kids to universities as most of them are not working,NSFAS is really trying its best by giving free education for all but only under privileged students to enroll at Universities.
DeleteA very interesting revolution which has impacted a lot of people
ReplyDeleteYes it has but you didn't show much interest on your comment as a thought reader or blogger.
Deleteyes fees must fall but only to those who doesn't afford to pay their schhol fees
ReplyDeleteThe fees must fall has been directed on the underprivileged students or people who want to enroll at the higher institution,I love the idea that has been introduced as it is gonna benefit all of us .
DeleteFees must fall its really a big issue in South Africa, can fees really fall? This is affecting all the poor people in the country because they cant access education.
ReplyDeleteFees won't fall to the ones who are paying for their studies as they are able to pay even though its costly, only for the underprivileged students who will experience this #FeesMustFall campaign. We are very lucky to have this experience and we must take it seriously and ,become successful one day and help our developing country to have a stable economy whereby everyone will benefit from.
Deletei feel like those who are able to pay for their fees should do so because the government wont be able to accommodate us all.
